Missions Ministry
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you..." (Matthew 29:19-20)
IFM is a Christian training and outreach organization. One of its main ministries is facilitating short-term, cross-cultural outreaches to the El Paso, Texas/Juarez, Mexico border area.
Because IFM has had long standing relationships with neighborhoods, orphanages, rehab and feeding centers in Mexico people embarking on short term mission trips are in actuality participating in long term mission work.
International Family Missions is a trans-denominational fellowship of Christians working together under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, composed of ordinary people endeavoring to pool their time, energies and resources to facilitate a loving and faithful response to God’s Great Commission.
IFM has a base in Fabens, Texas-a rural community twenty-five miles east of El Paso. Outreach participants are housed together as families in dormitories at The House of Cornelius, previously home to many foster care children and orphans over the past 20 years.
Christians completing an IFM experience can anticipate a deeper relationship with God and a greater ability to relate to their families and other members of the Body of Christ. They can also expect to be better equipped to respond to the world around them in the ministry of reconciliation
