As Jacob prepares to meet Esau, he looks to God to preserve him and his family according to his covenant faithfulness. This exposition of Genesis 32:1-21 will focus on the truth of God's presence with his people in their trials.
Familiar Troubles & a Faithful God
This exposition of Genesis 26:1-33 will focus upon the common troubles of the people of God in every generation, and God's faithfulness to them in the midst of those troubles.
God's Enduring Promises
Returning to the book of Genesis, we will meditate upon the enduring nature of God's saving promises as seen in Genesis 25:19-26.
The Law & the Promise
What is the relationship of the Law to the promises of God's grace? In this exposition of Galatians 3:15-20, we will start digging into God's answer to that question.
How God Presses His Promises Home
Returning back to our series of expositions through the book of Genesis, we'll meditate upon how God presses his promises home to our hearts, based upon his interaction with Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 18:1-15.
God's Everlasting Promises
Our next exposition in Genesis will cover the extraordinary events of a single day in the life of Abram, recorded for us in Genesis 17:1-27. Here we will meditate on the everlasting promises of God and consider the consequential devotion to God that is called for from all of God's covenant people.
God Hears and Sees
In this exposition of Genesis 16, we will learn the lesson with Abram and Sarai that God truly does hear our prayers and see our afflictions.
Believing God
In this exposition of Genesis 15:1-6, we'll find great encouragement in a brief interaction between the Lord and Abram.
God Sticks to His Man
This Sunday's sermon will focus on Genesis 13:1-18 and the separation between Abram and his nephew Lot. While the account of this separation may not seem like much more than a mere historical detail in the story of Abram, it actually reveals vital Gospel realities.
God's Promises to Abram (And to Us)
Returning again to our exposition of the book of Genesis, we will focus in on the substance of the promises God makes to Abram in Genesis 12:1-3 and consider what those promises teach us today.
Heading Toward Redemption
In this exposition of Genesis 11:10-32, we reach the end of the first major section of the book of Genesis. We'll see how this simple genealogy points us to the fulfillment of God's saving promises.
Taking God at His Word
In Genesis 7, God makes good on all the warnings of judgment and promises of salvation he spoke to Noah. In our exposition of this passage, we'll consider how the truthfulness of God's words should alter the way we live.
