Death is Not the End
In this exposition of 1 Corinthians 15:50-58, we'll see how the resurrection of Christ and the promise of every Christian's future resurrection at Christ's return should affect the way we think about death.
While the Earth Remains
In our next exposition of Genesis, we are going to dive into the setting and the terms of the "Noahic Covenant" - God's promise to never destroy the world again with a flood. We'll deal with the reasons this covenant is so important, and how it points to the Gospel.
God's Promises & God's People
In this exposition of Genesis 8, we'll consider how the Lord puts his saving love and faithfulness to his saving promises on display as the waters of the flood receded, the earth dries out, and Noah and his family finally are allowed to exit the ark.
Taking God at His Word
In Genesis 7, God makes good on all the warnings of judgment and promises of salvation he spoke to Noah. In our exposition of this passage, we'll consider how the truthfulness of God's words should alter the way we live.
A Way of Escape
In our next exposition of Genesis, we'll see God reveal a way of escape from his judgment to Noah, and consider how it points us to the way of salvation through Christ.
God's Response to Sin & Sinners
Returning back to the prologue to the flood narrative in Genesis 6:1-8, we'll meditate upon God's response to sin and sinners, and how that response is one of judgment and salvation.
Man's Spiraling Sinfulness
In our next exposition, we will tackle the surprising (and somewhat difficult) beginning of Genesis 6 (6:1-4), where we see mankind spiraling downward in sin and unable to save himself from the cycle of death that dominates our world.
Living in a World of Death
Next up in our series through the book of Genesis is the genealogy from Adam to Noah in Genesis 5 - a passage that shows us the way to live rightly in a world of death.
Progress, Failure, & Hope
In this exposition of Genesis 4:17-26, we will follow the family line of Cain (vv. 17-24) and of Adam (vv. 25-26) and explore how the descendants of each men teach us to live for matters of eternal importance.
The Spread of Sin
Genesis 4 tells the story of sin's spread throughout the world, following the sin of Adam and Eve in the Garden. In this exposition of Genesis 4:1-16, we will see what Cain's murder of Abel teaches us about the corrupting power of sin and the only solution to it.
The Curse & the Consequences
In our next exposition of Genesis, we'll meditate together on the Lord's just and gracious response to sin and sinners in the second half of Genesis 3.
The Crime & the Coverup
Returning back to our running exposition of the book of Genesis, we'll walk through the text of Genesis 3:6-13 - the account of man's intentional fall into sin.
God's Two Kingdoms & the Sanctity of Human Life
In this sermon, Zach will explore the distinct roles God assigns to us in Scripture as members of the human race and as members of Christ's church respectively, and how these roles should govern the way we go about promoting the sanctity of all human life in the world.
The Tempter & the Temptation
In this exposition of Genesis, we'll consider the identity of the serpent who shows up to lead mankind into sin in Genesis 3:1-5, as well as the characteristics of his temptation, so that we might guard ourselves from his schemes today.
Prioritizing Love in 2022
No one drifts into holiness. Grace-driven effort is required for us to grow spiritually. In this sermon, we will consider the goodness of urgently seeking to grow in our love for one another in the coming year.
Sometimes Delayed, Always Faithful
As we bring 2021 to a close as a church family, we're going to look back and reflect on some of the ways the Lord has shown his faithfulness to us throughout the past year. To help us identify Christ's faithfulness in places we might not normally see it, we'll spend a little time in John 11:1-6, where the faithful love of Jesus is shown in his delay in answering an urgent prayer.
The Serpent Slaying Savior
In this Christmas Eve exposition, we'll turn to the "Protoevangelium" - the first proclamation of the Gospel in the Bible - showing how the purpose of Christ's coming into the world was and is to slay a great and powerful dragon.
Why the World is Broken (& Why It Needs a Savior)
In this exposition of Genesis 3:1-24, we will look at 5 fundamental reasons the world we live in is so broken, and why we are in such desperate need of a Savior.
Putting Genesis 2:18-25 to Work
We'll come back in this sermon one more time to the text of Genesis 2:18-25 to explore some of the main practical implications of it. Our aim will be to see the implications of this passage upon our relationships in general, our genders, and upon marriage.
Gender, Marriage, & the Plan of God
We're returning back to Genesis 2:18-25 again this Sunday to explore the purpose of God in creating human beings male and female and in establishing the institution of marriage.
